Arnold Arboretum: Free Walking Tours

From flowers and fragrance to fruits and textures, the Arnold Arboretum is a dynamic landscape throughout the year! Explore the collections on a free guided tour led by our knowledgeable volunteer docents. Tours are geared toward the general visitor and include Arboretum history and topics of seasonal interest.

All tours begin in front of the Hunnewell Building Visitor Center and last approximately 60-90 minutes. There is no need to pre-register. For more information or cancellations due to inclement weather, please call 617.524.1718 x 100.

    community 2 Harvard Museum of Natural History teacher Lisa Maloney takes Baldwin School kindergartners through time on a field trip packed with fossils, dinosaur bones and collections of stuffed mammals, birds and reptiles. Working closely with the Cambridge Public School science department, Museum of Natural History education specialists have developed programs for all ages.   • You Can Volunteer in a Cambridge Public School
     
    Cambridge School Volunteers is an independent non-profit organization that recruits, trains, places and supports adult volunteers to work with students in kindergarten through grade 12.  CSV volunteers one or two hours per week between the hours of 7:30am and 4pm for at least one semester.  For more information, contact Martha Osler at 617-349-6794 or click on the link above.
